Five day course

This course aims to provide as varied an experience as possible, depending upon the aspirations of the group. For example, there might be a steady progression towards more demanding peaks, scrambling or even a two day expedition into the mountains.

Day 1 Meall a'Ghiubhais 886m, a nice warm up to the course.
Day 2 Beinn Damh 902 m. With the option of a scramble to the summit.
Day 3 Beinn Dearg 914 m. Worth the effort to get into the heart of these mountains.
Day 4 An optional day. The choice is yours :
Do nothing; go for a low level or coastal walk; perhaps an introduction to rock climbing and abseiling.
Day 5 Bring the skills you've learned into practice. Finish the week with Liathach 1055 m or An Teallach 1060 m. Two of the most famous and challenging ridges on the mainland.

Prior experience and fitness

Some hill walking experience is essential. This course like all of my courses can be tailored to suit fitness and aspiration; however you will be on the go for most of the week so some basic fitness is needed for typically five, six to seven hour days on the hill.

"We enjoyed the general information and the chat, also the attention to our safety"
